Jeff Kyle - Vice President, Marketing
Ottawa Senators and Scotiabank Place
Marketing in Tough Economic Times
Marketing can be a particularly difficult challenge during tough economic times. Then add to that challenge a premium entertainment as offered by the Ottawa Senators and the various entertainment events hosted at Scotiabank Place. Jeff will share with us some of the strategies and innovative ideas that this organization has undertaken in order to ride out this economic storm.
Speaker: Jeff Kyle was promoted to Vice President, Marketing of the Ottawa Senators and Scotiabank Place in August of 2002. In this role, Jeff is tasked with providing overall marketing direction for the team and building advertising, promotions, merchandise sales, game presentation and fan and community development programs. Prior to this appointment, Jeff was Vice President, Ticketing, a post he held since 1993. A long time member of the organization, Kyle also oversaw all development approvals for the Scotiabank Place during it's pre-construction and construction phases.
Most recently Jeff served as Chair of the Kanata West Landowners Steering Committee, a group of 42 landowners that together have funded the Kanata West Concept Plan. The Kanata West Concept Plan is a development plan for 1,500 acres of land surrounding Scotiabank Place. The development plan recently received unanimous approval from City Council of Ottawa.
Born and raised in Brockville, Ontario Jeff attended Queen's University in Kingston where he studied Physical Education and Economics.
Jeff is a member of the Ottawa Kiwanis club is also active in Kanata minor hockey as a parent and assistant coach. He resides in Kanata with his wife Joanne and son Cody and daughter Jordan.
