Canada's new anti-spam laws are set to come into force later this year.

The new anti-spam laws are intended to return confidence to Canadians conducting business over the Internet; however they are also a minefield for unprepared businesses and charities, and the penalties are simply too steep to ignore.
Cynthia will walk you through the main prohibitions and penalties, and provide you with practical advice to help you avoid falling into any traps.
Cynthia Mason is a lawyer and a registered trade-mark agent at Heenan Blaikie LLP.
