CMA Ottawa Board of Directors Announces Call for Nominations

A Message from CMA Ottawa’s President

CMA Ottawa is one of six regional chapters of the Canadian Marketing Association (CMA). The CMA promotes industry growth, development and education through various events across Canada. It provides a forum for members offering educational and networking opportunities for those involved in specific marketing disciplines. CMA is the largest marketing association in Canada representing the integration and convergence of all marketing disciplines, channels and technologies.
CMA Ottawa members include over 100 of the National Capital's major financial institutions, insurance companies, publishers, retailers, charitable organizations, agencies, relationship marketers and those involved in e-business and Internet marketing.

As the President of CMA Ottawa, it is my pleasure to announce a call for nominations to the CMA Ottawa Board of Directors. We are seeking nominations to fill up to four (4) vacancies on the Board. Each position is fr a two year term. Appointments will commence on Monday August 3rd, 2009.

CMA Ottawa’s Board of Directors serves to provide governance and strategic direction for the chapter. The Board is also responsible for developing programming for CMA Ottawa’s eight (8) events per year and ensuring membership growth. At a minimum, it is anticipated that Directors of the Board will be required to commit sufficient time to participate in up to ten (10) – one to two (1-2) hour board meetings per year,  1-2 hours per month of committee work and attendance at CMA Ottawa events.
